Hand Written Letter 2/16/11

Here is some of Joe's letter to us
Dear The Kings,
"Thanks for the letter(email) that you sent me even though it was short, but still good to hear from you guys. That's funny that tabs & eric drove my car there to driggs, I just had to laugh about it especially when carol keep looking at my car.  Tell everyone at the bank hi for me and at broulims. Ya we alot of us in the district are fasting this morning (wednesday p-day) and maybe for lunch also, cause some of the other elders dont know if they are going to stay or not. So all of us are fasting and praying for them. One of the elders will find out today or not."
Then he went on to say that he has been staying busy with writing letters, studying or just visiting with the other elders in their rooms.  Elder Webster also said that he ran into Kyle Treasure(Wade and Trudy Treasure's son) from the valley and talked with him for a few minutes, Then he ran into Daniel Palmer(Joe Palmer's brother). 
"Let Aunt Jo know that the MTC is treating me well. keep her updated with me and everyone else, We go to the Provo Temple today (Wed) on are P-days.  Tell her the food is good but homecooking is better."

The story behind the car and Carol looking at it is:  Joe would come to the bank and the ladies there got to know him pretty good and knew his car.  So Carol is the new accounts lady and was looking out the window when Eric and Tabithat came up one weekend and she kept looking out the window and was confused because she knew that Joe had left for his LDS mission.  So she asked me about it and I told her that my sister and brother in law was up here for the weekend.  It was funny.

Hand Letter

Tom and I got a hand letter from Elder Webster
He just said that he would us to keep everyone up here in the Valley updated and that his P-day in the MTC is Wednesday and he heard that his P-day in the mission field is Mondays.  He sounds like his is doing well and studying hard.  Look at other posts for his email's that was sent on P-day.

ya sorry my sunday went good me and my companion we beared the sacurament for are first sunday their and it went good. no u didnt tell me that people has called for me. who has called for me let me know. but i told marissa this write me back on dear elder that way i can get them that day or the next day that way i can write you back faster. and thats good maybe we can get some more money out of my car then what kirill offered but if we dont that it ok i guess, it is money and we can complain some days. but love everyone lots send everyone my love got to go for now just had a little bit more time so i thought i would do another fast email

1st email - P Day

my pday is on weds here at the mtc, then i dont know when i get out in the field at all. i am doing good. my roommates r elder collins, elder berket, and elder Hoyt my camponion. ya i have played basketball in gym and ran a little bit also. ya michelle told me all about it from the bank when she wrote me. thanks for all the emails that u have send me just whenever u write me just write me back on dear elder that way i can write back really fast. they gave my a date on when i leave the MTC is on the 23 at 4 in the morning but who knows still we will find out latter on here next week sometime and i will let u know. but got to go for now talk to u later

First letter

My first day went fine, and I didn't really groan at all when I got up. Even tho the beds are not the most comforable things to sleep on. My companion is Elder Hoyt he is from SLC but get this he is going to the same mission same with 6 other elders. We are all in the same class or district they call it. Well, just like I thought or guessed you can say, the building we are in is on the other side of campus from are classrooms and the lunch room. Yes, I did get the package on Wed thanks. Yip I found my temple bag it was on the outside pocket of the bag. Dad only has a few more weeks left at work then he better go golfing for me during the summer.

Ya well when we got here on Wed after you dropped me off. The person and me we went right to my rooim and took my stuff and dropped it off and went right to my classroom and dropped me off. Their with all the other elders. The food is not to bad, still miss the home cooked meals(every timne I did come home for dinner any ways) me and my companion are sharing a room with 2 other people and pics will come don't worry. When we got up to are rooms around 9pm all of us unpack about half of are stuff that we thought we would need then it was off to bed lights out at 10:30.

Day 2 which was Thursday went by slow at first but then it speed up after lunch of course. Ya we have a gym class about 3 or 4 days each week which is ok. Thats so far the MTC and what's going on right now any way. But pics will come soon don't worry. Love everyone lots, hope everyone is having fun. Don't worry I havce wrote Marissa also. Keep eveyone up dated on Facebook, Chelle knows my password and name. Well got to go and get to study love lots have fun in the cold and with lots of snow unlike down here in Prove.

Joe has been at the Mission Training Center in Provo, Utah for 4 days, YEAH, Way excitied, we are awaiting for letters to come from Joe on how his first days have been at the MTC.
