well my p-day is on saturdays out here in Alpena, MI and my address is 995 golf course road apt3 Alpena, MI 49707 that is where i am living and well my first place is at. so send my letters to that address now tell i switch on my next transfer. From what elder smith(my campaion) said that most likly i well be staying here but i will be finding out come closer towards the transfer. Alpena is up towards the top on the state it is 4 hours from lansing. I can remember my email for my hotmail accout so do u mind letting me now that way i can get everyones address, cause that is where everyones address is at, is on my hotmail one. When we got to lansing and we ment the president and sister jones with the AP(assitents to the president) we went to his house. then we went out and went tracking for a house around michigan state(MSU). Then we went back and had dinner their which was pizza haha.. then later that night all the missionaries we all went to bed around 9, but we stayed up talking tell about 10 or whenever we all fell asleep, then we ment are traininers the next day during lunch at the church. then we went to the mission home and got everthing their, but the only package that i got was my beding and the stuff that was in their. but everything is going good for now. My new compaion/trainer is from new zeland, he has been here in alpena for about 4 and a half mouths now. yesturday(friday) was is 9 mouths he has been out in Michigan. but then on thursday was my first full day in alpena, it went better then i thought tho i wasnt nerves like i thought i was going to be which was a good thing i guess. Today we have to wash are cloths but we are not going to do that tell later on this evening sometime after we have are service around 2 michigan time(12 noon your time). are service we are going over the soup kitchen and help serving it to other people. we also have to go and get some food for are apartment like milk and eggs and a few other stuff that we need. and we have branches for church right now thats it no wards yet, and we go at 10am so 8am your time.
well if you havnt herd about the earth qauke that happened over in new zeland well he didnt have any family that was killed as far as he knows, he called the other day (president and sister jones let him call to find out). His family lived about 45 mins away from the town that got hit from the earth quake. but the deaths has been going up day but day which is not good at all. but maybe keep us updated as well that way we can know about it also thanks. but thats it for now talk to everyone later send everyone my love. o president and sister jones is going to send a thing out to you from them with me and them in a pic and a few other stuff they said.

Elder Smith from New Zealand
This was an email that I got this morning from Joseph.

A summary of a handwritten letter from Joseph. Shad had bronchitis and Shon had cough at time.
Just wondering if everyone was feeling better. Was wondering if you were getting ready for the baby to come and I want updates and pictures when she is here.
Shad how is playing COD (Call of Duty Xbox game) without me? How is Shon doing without me there to play with?
I have made good friends here at the MTC. 6 other missionaries are going to Lansing and 4 others are going to Little Rock, Arkansas. We leave at 4 am from the MTC and leave SLC airport at 7am.

email 2/15/11
well we r going to do a cloths on the monday before we leave that way we can have clean cloths out in the mission field. i need mykals adress also cause i have a letter for him about the MTC. my weekend was long but it was good. saturday just took forever. and sunday was the same way also. tell everyone in the ward hi from me, and tell them i am doing good, everything is going good, long classes, good lunches. the beds are rough, but o well.
i sended mikeal i letter in the mail so i hope he gets it this week. ya their ward their is not that many people in there. ya i know how that church is cause i have have played basketball in their and and i have ref church ball games. thats good to hear that eric gave tabitha a blessing, but not good that she has been sick tho tell her to get better. and the same with shad. but thats good that everyone is getting better up their. and that is good that their is home teachers that can help with giving blessings. happy late valentines day everyone. dont forget that i need my levis, some pics of everyone and from my farewell. and me and marissa also thanks and i need my black clock radio, it is at the head of the bed, and everything that i will need for michigan

Dear Mom and Dad
Ya Sat and Sun was very slow. Well on Saturdays we doing like nothing after like 3:30, cause we don’t have a teacher after then. We are just in a down time or what is called Missionar down time (MDT).
That’s good that we sold my car for the amount we bought it for which is good. That is funny to hear about teton getting stuck in Rexburg for the night . But that’s not fail that the school paid for the hotel, o well it happens. What can you say it’s idaho. That’s good that you bowled good on wed and won 3 out of 4 games against Zack. Ya I cant remember my atm password for my new card. Hopefully this will get their fast and I can get a dearelder with it on their that way I can get cash out for the airport. I have change to call you guys, but I think I have to get a phone call tho to call and I will call around 5:30AM. I can only talk to 20 to 30 mins, then I have to get on the plane to leave for Michigan.
I can use my black clock, I don’t have my ipod, and it has two alarms on it. So I can use that one. Send the picks to me here at the MTC fast, cause people have been wondering who is all in my family , and what marissa looks like. Yes I did get my coat, and I have not yet got the package from the bishop.
I don’t know who else to send the thank you cards too. And yes I did get something from Aunt Bronda, she send me candy. Then I wrote back, and said thank you, and gave them my address for Michigan. I think this is my last letter to you from the MTC. But that is it for now, and only have till Tuesday is my last day at the MTC, we leave Wed. There is a chord towards the head of the bed that can charge it also while playing the ipod. Got to go so I can send it off tomorrow morning (which is Friday). When you send my pics do it fast for they can get here by Monday if not Tuesday. Good night for now here from you soon.

Feb 16 email from MTC

Dear Mom and Dad
Things are good, days are going by faster and faster it seems like. Ya the emails I only have 30 minutes min to send emails and the only 2 people was you and Marissa. Ya I have seen Kyle ir Elder Treasure from the valley. I have also seen Elder Danial Palmer, Joe Palmer’s brother. Get this I saw the elder that we ran into at the place we ate before coming to the MTC last Wed. Ya in gym we can play 4 square, basketball, volleyball, run or lift weights (the last 2 are up stairs).
Elder Hoyt has 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Yes I do see Elder Casper he is in my district which is are room. How much did Tyler sell his truck for just wondering. Here is his number ______. Don’t ask me how I remembered it, but I just did. Ask for his address to for me, cause I have a letter that goes to him. That is good that it is getting warmer their, but not down here tho at least in the mornings. Ta we have some snow on the grass in the mornings and sometimes in the afternoon to.
Are district went to the temple on are P-days, and the Provo temple does a different movie than the Rexburg temple does. And before I forget I got my travel itinerary yesterday (Thursday) and we leave the MTC at 4am to take bus to Salt Lake City airport then we fly to Detroit sat 7am. Then we fly in from Detroit to Lansing at 2:04pm which all of this is on the 23rd. Ya are first flight number from SLC to Detroit is 1768, then from Detroit to Lansing it is 4264. We should arrive around 3pm in Lansing. I don’t know if I am able to call from the airport at all. Sorry, but got to go tell next time.
