Happy Easter

hello everyone,
Hope everyone had a good Easter over the weekend. we got invited to go over to the Richmonds a family in the ward and then they called us on Saturday and told us that we are going to be going over to the Stake Presidents house for dinner with them and so we did(the stake President lives in the ward). it was a good day yesterday o before i forget sister sugiyama and her son are going to be in rexburg come Wednesday i gave him the house address and the phone number for them to come and visit. he is going to be going to school at BUY-I and he just got off his mission last Tuesday and he spoke in church yesterday and now he is leaving for school. yesterday in church went really good the choir sang 3 different songs and the primary sang a song as well and we had a youth speaker and then a homecoming talk. and both of the talks was about the atonement and the homecoming talk was really good he was talked about want happened in the garden, and the cross, and the resurrection as well. and we are going to be going over to the sugiyama's house for dinner tonight. i got the package and the birds nests did not make it in one piece sorry. thank you for the calendar and i see why chelle that you was waiting for my SD card. buddy ate some of the barbait wow buddy she one strong and crazy dog that's all i got to say and plus we have had him since i was 12 i think so for almost 9 years now. cause i remember des bring him when they came from hamer or somewhere and they brought a dog for me cause nikey got hit and was killed the day before school started one year. did i ever help out on those lawns as all for Robin Parkinson and that is way up their as well. that is going to be a all day job for ya so have fun to bad i am not their to help out. and have fun driving bus this week and you will polly go golfing sometime down their if not you will have to go golfing with tom and mikeal edelmayer sometime. i know they will enjoy it. hey trent ricks gets home this month as well sometime don't know when but you might have to call his mom and find out when for you can go to it and see him and his mom. that's cool that scott and heather was back in town and visited over the weekend you should have told them that he better come back for my homecoming as well and come and visit. ya let me know about elder Forsgren and how he is doing. maybe that's why i have not got a letter from him in a while but who knows. maybe i will get one from him this week sometime.
o i got to tell a funny story that happened to me and elder bullard a couple of days ago. we was doing some less active hunting trying to find some of the less actives or inactive i should say that has not been to church in years and we was going to this one house and the last name was Shiffer(keep that in mind) and we was going up to the door we asked if she lived here and she said "ya that's me me last name is Shiffer" and we was like sweet and then she step out the door and we was talking and she asked me where i was from and all of that and i told her that i was from Idaho and then she asked me where in Idaho i told her rexburg and she was like "really" told me that she was from rexburg as well. she lives right across from the hibbard school and i asked her if she was related to ty shiffer and ty is her younger brother i graduated with ty back in 2009. i also played football with him, he was the kicker for my senior year. and so we was talking about that and some other stuff as well. it was just really cool that i talked to someone that is from rexburg. she is going to school out here in grand rapids for Law. so i thought i would share that with you guys.
well last Tuesday we was at a investigators house and talked to her about church and how she needs to come to church every Sunday. she is in her 80's right now and she can move around pretty good for being in her 80's. and then after that we went less active hunting again for a little bit and we found a inactive that has not been to church since he has got out of high school and that has only been like 5 years and we was talking with him and then after that we had to ride the bus back to go and get something to eat and while we was eating we got a call from are ward mission leader saying that are appointment with him to go and see another less active fell though cause she was sick and not felling good and she didn't want us to get sick ether. so we had to wait for the bus for 50 mins to ride it back for 30 mins then wait for 10 mins to get on another bus to go back to are apartment for the evening. on Wednesday we had district meeting up in greenville and it was really good the zone leaders was their for it cause i guess they was going on trade offs with the zone leaders cause they might be getting a full time car and same with us next transfer but we will see. but then has we was coming back down we stop and got elder bullards bike cause he was getting it fixed their and i had to buy some stuff for the other bike that i was using and i had to buy a helment as well. then later on that day we was just teaching less actives and one investigator as well that day. then on Thursday we had 7 appointments with less actives and investigators as well and well only 2 of them was their and so we only taught 2 lessons that day out of 7 which was sad o well it is a everyday thing for a missionary lol. but on Friday we had 5 appointments and that all was home which was way good and we was really busy that day as well. so for the week it was really good we had a good week here in grand rapids teaching and finding some less actives and some new investigators as well. well today we are going to go to the church house and play some volley ball with some other missionaries and also some members that are going to be their. so hopefully it is going to be a good day today and that i wont be on crutches jk i wont be i am just making fun on Mykal forsgren lol which i should be. but that's all for now got to get some other emails off and then off to go and play volley ball with some other missionaries and i will let you know about transfers next week if not sooner and well. bye for now tell next week and we will talk to you then love ya.

been out 14 months

hello everyone,
first off HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA.
well General Conference was great it felt like we was getting told what we need to be doing all the time. on Saturday and Sunday we was at the church house for all of the sessions and on Saturday after the 1st session we was talking with the other elders and seeing what they was doing cause we didn't have a car and they had a lunch that they was going to go to and they called there lunch appointment and asked if we could come as well and they said ya the more the merrier(or how ever that saying goes) so we went with them and then back to the church house for the 2nd session on Saturday but then after that session all of us missionaries went out for dinner and elder bullard payed again for all of us which is way nice of him. and then we went back to the church for the priesthood session but during the first 2 session we only had 1 investigator their and it was Christina Wyatt. she watch all 4 session and she like them she told us after words that some of the talks was ok but then some of them she didn't like but that's normal for some people. but then on Sunday after the first session we went with the other elders to the same place to have lunch with a member in their ward cause we didn't have any buddy sign up for dinner or lunch those two days. but ya general conference was way good it did talk a lot about the book of Mormon and how it goes with the bible. i took a lot of notes down and now i am going to go over them and see what i need to improve on. and on Sunday their was a few more people their watching them then on Saturday. on Saturday their was only 13 people at the church watching them and that was all members but 1 and that was Christina. and on Sunday their was around 25 to 30 people their watching it. we guessed that their was going to be more people their on Sunday then Saturday.
glad you got the letter ya we was busy last week. on Wednesday the greenville elders came down and got the car from us and we was going to go to lunch with a member she took us out to a buffet right by are apartment and when the greenville elders came and got the car the member that brought them took them out to eat at the same place that we was going. but then later on that day we had to ride the bus from are apartment down to central station to get on another bus to go to appointment up by where the bishop lives and instent of talking 10 mins to drive their we had to ride on a bus for 1 hour to get their but o well. then we had dinner with a member that night and then she took us to the church house cause every Wednesday night we have corrilation with the ward mission leader and the ward missionaries as well. then we had to ride up to big rapids and the stake patriarch took us up their for trade offs and then drove elder bullard and elder kings ford back to grand rapids. trade offs went good they had a few appointments that day and they fell though and called us and had to reshuchled for another day. and then one called and chanced on use and we was just about to go over their and meet him he called us and told us that his work called and asked if he could come in. and this was all while i was in big rapids on trade offs. we was on trade offs from Wednesday night tell Friday morning cause we had district meeting and interviews with president Hess and that went good. me and president Hess was talking for about 15 mins in the interview.
geez dad i think mom in right for the power rakes you might need to get them working during the winter to make sure that they are ready to go come spring time lol. tell the kohler family hi from me and that they will need to come to my home coming as well when i get home. that is funny that Hilary Kohler came up to you and ask if you had a missionary in Michigan or not. got called to be a director for bowling huh dad. congrates on that. so what did Robert Leoloff do with the bowling alley? sounds like the pot luck was good then and that you got warm from all the chilli that was their and then you had ice cream to cool it down huh it must have been some HOT chilli jk haha lol. ya the priesthood meeting was all about the less and inactive members of the church and how we need to go out and get them back coming to church and me and elder bullard have been doing that the past 3 weeks now. and some off the less active people are starting to come back to church now. and well today we have deep clean are apartment and then we have a dinner appointment with the bishop and his family as well at 5:30 this evening. but that's all for now love ya and will talk to everyone next week. hope everyone loved general conference.

good morning/afternoon/evening everyone,

before i forget again happy birthday dez, happy 36th birthday hehe  your getting old wait that means i am getting old as well lol.   love ya       happy anniversary tom and chelle. hope you guys had a good day.
well another week has gone by here in Michigan. mom i did get the package thanks. and the size of shoes that i do ware is size 13 wide but what i was thinking that i can go and find one here that would be good or if the wardrobe has the same shoes maybe just get them and send them out to me. the weather here is coolly down in temp but it is still sun shinning but it is getting cold here again but who knows. the lanes down in Blackfoot must have been giving everyone trouble it sounds like.

elder bullard and me have been really busy with appointments this past week. and this next week we are really busy with appointments, Interviews with President Hess, District meeting, and General conference all this week. so are planners are busy and full for the week. and we also have trade offs again with the big rapids elders and this time i am going to go up to big rapids for the day but we are going to trade off Wednesday night tell Friday cause that's when we have interviews and district meeting down here in grand rapids. then next Monday we have deep cleaning so we are going to be busy next Monday and well.

well the investigators are not picking up their phones that much at all when we do try to call to set up an appointment with them. so we just spot by and set one up with them. and sometimes that works out a lot better then calling them. well we are doing good with the less active set that we got a few weeks ago. every time we have the car we are going around and looking for less actives and setting up appointments with them. their is a less active that we met with last Friday and i don't know why she went in active she has a strong testimony about the gospel and she went on a mission as well. she went to Montana somewhere. o get this she told us that she didn't want to go over seas for a mission and when she got her mission call she got called to go over seas but then when we was in the MTC and on her 6th week of being their to learn a new language she got called into the MTC office and they said that her mission call got changed and that she was needed up in a Montana mission. how crazy is that, that she got a mission changed in the MTC. we are meeting with here every Friday and she wants to come back to church and also go to the temple again and so we set a goal for her for the temple to go to it in 7 months from now so in September. so we have been doing a lot of less active finding. we have been doing that more them door knocking cause we have not found a new investigator though door knocking since elder bullard has been here it has all been though formal investigators and also though part member families. so not much happened last week this next week is going to be better and are week is already full with appointments and everything else that is going on. well hope everyone had a good week and congrates on the job tom. see prayers are answered, hope you like it. hope to hear from everyone soon love ya.

good morning,

hello everyone. i hope everyone had a good week. the weather here has been really crazy for this time of year. it has been in the 70's which is way warm for here in Michigan and this time of year. and it has been in the 60% humid as well and i don't do humid that much. this past weekend from Friday tell yesterday we walked a total of 20 miles and riding the bus for 4 hours which is crazy. so my legs right now is pretty tried but we are still walking tell we get a car on Wednesday after are district meeting and we are going up to greenville for it and i am going to be going on trade offs with are district leader he is coming down here to grand Vally(grand rapids) with me. and we already have a full day that day as well which is good. ya you can keep sending the news paper stuff it is keeping me updated on the things from back home and whats going on in rexburg. we are going to have fast Sunday this coming Sunday cause of general conference and then Easter. i know this ward is going to have a Easter program. and then the week after that we are going to have stake conference here in grand rapids.

well on Saturday we had an appointment up in the plain field area of grand rapids and we had to ride a bus their and it was at 1pm and from the last bus stop it is another mile and a half. but we had to go and catch a bus by are apartment to ride it down to central station and then from their get on another bus to go to the last bus stop on that route and then walk another mile and a half and that took us from 10:15 when we left are apartment tell 1pm to get their and and grap something to eat. and get this the appointment that we had was with a in active in are ward and when we got their someone was walking out of the house and they saw us and ran back in their house. well we knock on the door and they didn't answer go figure so we had to walk another mile and a half to go and catch the bus again to go to another appointment and that one we didn't make it to cause the bus was late getting back to central station so we had to call to set up another time to come by so then we had to wait their at central station to get back on the bus to go back to where we was for another appointment and that person was not home ether and it was in the same area where are first appointment was at. but as we was walking their some members saw us from another ward and picked us up and took us their and they waited and then took us back to the bus stop. they was going to a store to get a few things but then but the store was closed when they got their and when they drove by the bus stop they pulled over and gave us a ride to where we needed to go again. and that was good of them to do that.

well we had training this past Thursday and it was really good. their was 70 missionaries here in grand rapids at the stake center. so half of the mission was their which was crazy. and it was good to get training and to see other missionaries and talk to them. and are ward the grand vally ward is putting a thing together called "Introduction to Mormonishm" and this is where we are going to talk about what we believe for are church and have everyone come to it at are church house and learn more about are church and what we believe. we are going to have 2 different sessions and 2 different days the first day is may 17th which is a Thursday and then the 2nd session is going to be the 31st on may. the first session their is going to be a member going to teach and then the 2nd session we as missionaries are going to teach it.

right now with the investigators that we are teaching. some of them are not reading the book of Mormon and so when they don't read we don't go on with the lessons tell they know why they need to read it. so the next time we go over their we talk about the book of Mormon and why it is so important to read. and we have no one yet that has a baptism date. the referral that we got from the Kalamazoo elders, we had an appointment on Saturday the son was home but not the mom so we are going to call and set up another time to come over and share more. well George is still George. lately he has not been coming to church he has always been coming up with an excused saying that 9am is to early to come to church. Elmur is doing good. he took a fall last week and then he got sick as well on top of that. so he has not been doing so good and his wife sister Ybema told Elmur that he cant drive for a week and when he told us that over the phone he was laughing about it and then we was as well. i have not heard about kimberly's daughter. that is good that elder Pace and elder Moore was able to come and help load some wood and that they got some green frosting to bad none of them was new missionaries know that would have been more funnier(new missionary [greenie] and st Patrick's day). did you show the elders pics of me when they was their? where do they live at their in rexburg? well that's all for now. love ya and hope to hear from everyone really soon.

hello everyone,

well this past week was good. we had a lot of time to go and door knock which i will tell you is not my favorite thing to do. teaching is my favorite thing to do. well tuesday it was transfer day in the mission and we had to go to the stake center to go and pick up the car from the greenville elders. but on monday the day before we got a phone call from are distrect leader saying that he got a call from President Hess saying that he was being transfered(we normaly find out on friday the week before and are distrect leader was suppose to stay with his companion for another transfer cause he was traning and traniners stay together for 2 transfer) and so that was crazy news for us and he was called to be a zone leader down in Kalamazoo. and so when we herd that are distrect leaders was being transfered elder Bullard took all of us out to breakfast that morning to i-hop before we had to be at the stake center. but on tuesday we had 5 apointments set up but 3 of them fell though and so we taught 2 lessons. then on wedensday we got a call from Elmur Ybema and asked us if we had a lunch apointment and we said no we didnt and him and his wife took us out to lunch and we shared a message about the sacurament with him and his wife. then on friday we had a dinner apointment and a family in the ward their names are the Siegman's and they are way awsome. bro siegman went on his misson to the colorado north mission. and while we was their we was talking about some other missionaries that has served here in the Grand Vally ward and now they are Assitents to the mission President and they are going to be in town on thursday cause we had a tranining meeting and so we was thinking about having a dinner apointment with the assitents and the members as well cause the assitents loved them as well. but this past week we had 12 lessons and 8 of those 12 lessons was with investigators which is good. and 4 of those lessons was with a member and so we are getting members to help us out again YA. we have a traning meeting on thursday here in grand rapids with the whole zone of missionaries and so it is going to be good to see the missionaries here and also to see President Hess.

so how is the missionaries their elder Moore and elder Pace? they really like sports huh? well since they do and since march maddness is coming up lol. i dont know if they are aloud to watch any sports in that mission. i have been thinking when i get home off my mission i am going to help the missionaries as much as i can with rides cause it has been helpful with members giving us rides everywhere. so i am going to help them with rides and also if they need someone to go with them to apointments i am going to go with them. so is the missionaries in that ward now of how big of a area do they have to cover? and how many wards/stakes do they have to cover?

are investigators are going good. some of them are not home when we go by and see them but thats normal. but we did pick up 4 new investigators this past wekk which is good. we got a referral from a set of elders down in Kalamazoo area. they called us a while back and gave us a name to go and see and we went and saw the person on saturday and while we was their we ask the mom cause thats who we got the name for. she has 3 sons and one of them is 18 and we ask if wanted to join in and he did and talked more then his mom when we asked ?'s for them to answer. we taught them the 1st lesson and they loved it. we commited them to read the Book of Mormon and also pray about it and they said they would which is awsome. and we are meeting with them on saturday again and hopefully they will have read and then we are going to comminted them to baptism that night as well.

are dinner apointments are picking up this month which is good this week we dont have dinner today, wedensday and also saturday. but thats ok it is elder Bullards birthday today which is funny cause it is Tab's brithday also ands it is Elmur and his wife annraversity(they have been married for 60 years today march 12th). we dont have weekly dinner apointment like when i was in greenville. you did not say that you was going to send 2 more shirts that i can remember but i am losing tract of some things cause i have been trying to remember a lot of things and i am glad we have planners that we can take with us everyday and put notes in their as well. elder Bullard doesnt get any package from home except for when he got hurt then we got a lot of stuff send to him that week. ya i know the wrestling on the grass was fun i forgot about that cause when i had to get a new camara i could not watch it because of the size maybe but i dont know. ya the bathroom video was a good one i thought i would make a vedio and send it. that vedio was with elder Logan Kohler. and i cant remember the pics that much sorry without looking at them. on the letter i send to michelle i told her some of the names that was in the pics. o on saturday when we was on are way home we stopped and got a drink to take with us and while we was their we got a phone call asking if we could come into a class for primary and talk with them for a little bit and so we did. and this was during the 3rd hour so preisthood. so i guess all of the primary's must have been on the same lesson your ward and this ward. 14 lawns to power rank wow that is good and it is only march and i beat you will get more come march and april, when the weather will warm up. well thats all for now and hope to hear from everyone soon and we will talk to you next week. love ya

What Missionaries in counter while on their mission?

hello everyone,
well first off, last tuesday the Feburary 21st me and elder Bullard we got attack by some Pit bulls dogs. and this was around 2:40ish so it was after school was getting out. me and elder Bullard was walking down a street called Sweet st. and their was a young girl about 15 years old just walked into her house and about 30 secs later we was walking by it and then some dogs came out and started to bark which was normal so we kept going but then a man across the street yelled and told the girl to get the dogs back inside cause they bite and then only 2 secs later they started to bite elder Bullard and he has 4 bites on his left leg and 2 on his right leg and 1 on his right hand but all that happened to me was that my pants got ripped in the back and elder Bullards coat that he was wearing got torn up and same with his pants and he shirt got a few holes in their as well. about 2 mins after the dogs started to bit 2 people pulled up and told us to get in their car and we did and within 30 secs after we got in the cops showed up so that was fast and then we got taken to the E.R their in Grand Rapids and we was their for 3 hours and on are way their i was calling President Hess to let him know but he was not answer his phone come to find out they was up in Gaylord for a Zone Conference but after trying to call President Hess, i called sister Hess and told her and she was in a little bit of shock cause of what happened but i dont blame her for being in shock. so once we got to the E.R we called the Zone leaders to let them know and they was on trade offs with are distrect leader and so one of the Zone leaders and are distrect leader came to the Hospital and was sitting with us their to make sure we was doing good when i called them they didnt answer cause they was in an apointment so once they heard the message they ran to their car and called us back and then they came and sat with us. and then President and Sister Hess came down as soon as they left Gaylord to come and see how we are doing. then they took all of us to dinner afterwords which was nice of President and sister Hess. well for the dogs we dont know if they are put down or not yet but animal control came and got them within the hour of it happening and it is the court that desides if they get put down or not but most likely they will be getting put down cause this was not the first time that this has happened. the cops has been called over their a few times. so their you go their is the exciting news for the week. i went on trade offs with the distrect leaders companion on saturday up in Big Rapids for i could get out and go and do something and it was a good day. other then that nothing has been going on here in Grand Vally. we are going to be in the apartment tell tommorow or wednesday or maybe even later on this week. wow elder Bullard can be inpatiance sometimes with a lot of things.
the ward here in Grand Vally came up to use yesturday after sacurament meeting and asked if they could bring over any food and so they are going to bring over some food this week. during sacurment meeting yesturday the Bishop was conducting and he said "we are glad that the wouded was able to make it here today" and a lot of people was like "what" then he said "one of are elders was attack by some Pit Bulls this past week" and then 3/4th of the people in the ward look back at us. elder Bullard bearly made it though all of the church meetings yesturday as well. o got some good news though about Elmur after he came and picked us up last monday he told us that he is going to help us out as much as he can on giving us rides anywhere we need them. cause during the winter he cant play golf just during the summer so he is going to help us out and take us where we need to go when we dont have the car.
that is awsome that Kyler is going to go on a mission and that he is going to go to Toronto not to far away from me ether. the weather here has been so crazy for a winter. we got hit with a lot of snow but it has melting really fast cause of the wind as well. thanks for the letter and the package i did get it and elder Bullard got a few packages as well cause he got to call home tuesday night and talk to his family so they got the address and they send some stuff to us as well but thats all that has been going on here in Michigan got a few more emails to send and elder Bullard is getting inpation so love ya and well let you know about transfers next week.

Snow

hello,
how is everyone doing? i am doing good my knee right now is still hurting but not as much as it was at first. well the libary is not closed today(monday) so we are emailing. wow i cant belive that hayden carter is home wow that is right one more down and a few more to go lol. so how much longer does Kyle Evens has do you know? ya they are live in the Hidden Vally homes their behide the old high school. it is just crazy seeing that almost everyone is home now or going to be home in the next year or so now. i cant believe that time as gone by fast. wow 3 months and brady is going to be home wow. ya i wasnt sure if you was going to send another package but then i remember about becky said that i got those treats i was like "o ya" ya the treats was gone a few days after i got them haha. ya the pizza i made it already and it was good, i was full after i ate it. ya elder Forsgren is coming up on his year mark as well he left a month after i did which is crazy but sounds like everytime i get a letter from him that he is doing good. the last letter that i got from him he told me that elder Jeffery R. Hollard come to there mission and talked to them which i thought not that fear cause elder Hollard is one of my favorite speckers besides Presdient Monson. and specking of them general Conference is coming up in a little over a month which is crazy. i am going to send my SD CARD home this week we get the car on weensday and we are going to go shopping that day and so i am going to print some pics out that i want and then send it to chelle. cause that last time that i send the SD card home i didnt get all of the pics that i wanted but thats ok so i am going to go and print some pics out and then send it off. and the calendal that i have goes tell march but the month of March doesnt have any pics on it like all of the other months do but thats ok. no i have got a letter from you yet mom it will polly be here tommorow cause their is no mail today cause of Presidents Day but who knows the libary was open. and their is no snow here again we have not had any snow for the past 2 weeks or so it is crazy are ward mission leaders told us yeasturday at church that he went golfing on friday. ya my knee is doing good but my knee was not as bad as taylor's ankle wow that look pretty bad. i remember when my ankle was bad me senior year playing football. so i can beat that he is just sitting around in the apartment doing nothing right now but who knows cause it looked like that he could not put on a shoe. Uncle bob past away huh well he was getting up their is age. but thats sad news that he past away. ya it is getting that time of year to start power ranking again sooner then what we have done in the past years.

well are week has been good. to start off last week we had Zone Conference on wedensday and that was here in Grand Rapids and that went really good. learned a lot of stuff and also we are going to be some different stuff in the mission so it is going to be weird changing from what i am used to be doing but it was president Hess that made the change. then after Zone Conference 8 of us went out to eat at out back stake house for dinner which is right by are apartment. during Zone Conference we have lunch which is made by members of a ward this last time it was by the Wyoming ward but the time before it was done by the Grand Vally ward which i am in and that was back in november. then on thursday we had a long day but that night after all of riding around on the buses we was at an apointment and she as been meeting with the missionaries for a year now every thursday. but while we was their we was talking about the atonement and we had a member with us and towards the end of the lesson al 3 of us beared are testimoney about the gospel and the atonement of jesus christ and we also commited her to get baptized and we asked her to say a prayer for when she should be baptized and she got a answer but it is not tell september 21 why that long but i dont know only god knows and that is her brithday as well. but that lesson was so awsome. we was out walking yeasturday after we got droped off from a dinner apointment right after church and after awhile of walking it started to hurt a little bit more so then we walked back to the apartment and it was a mile a half away but i did it then we had dinner and then we had an apointment to get to just across Apline in another apartment complex so that was not to bad. but other then that are week as been a good week. we have only a few new investigators not a whole not but we are trying not a lot of people are in good moods some days to talk to us. o when we do talk to them all they want to talk about is Mitt and the elections thats going on. but thats what has been going on here in Michigan. but hope to hear from everyone soon. love ya
